Homelessness is an unfortunate circumstance for many queer youth. According to a recent report by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force,
of the estimated 1.6 million homeless American youth, between 20 and 40 percent identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. To read more about homeless youth, visit:

MPowerment strives to strengthen our queer community by reaching out to homeless youth and providing them clothing, toiletry items and support.
We partner with another local organiztion, Peace for the Streets by Kids from the Streets to be able to bring more comprehensive services to homeless youth.
